Favorite thing I wrote today:
She wasn’t wearing a hat that day but her hair was pinned up safely, shimmering just a little bit more than it should if she were any other girl. The pale green dress she wore became all but invisible with the sun at her back. Quinn could easily make out her legs and the revolver packed holster strapped to her right thigh. He laughed to himself and jogged over to meet her.
Besides all that…I found Ella Fox today! This is her! and she’s even wearing a green dress!

“Townes Van Zandt is the best songwriter in the whole world and I’ll stand on Bob Dylan’s coffee table in my cowboy boots and say that.” -Steve Earle

After listening to Steve’s new album, “Townes”, I would stand on that coffee table in agreement with him and add a few names of my own; like Willie Nelson who even today when he breaks out a new song at a concert never ceases to bring me to tears and Steve Earle himself who had me at “I lost my heart to a Galway girl.”
Tomorrow night I’m seeing Steve Earle live for the first time. I wish my mom was going with me…she has turned out to be my favorite concert companion and never looks at me funny when I cry during my favorite songs. I can’t wait! It’s out doors at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens!! Woohoo!

All you need to know is that Murphy is blind, this kitten is cute and I can’t figure out how to make these cut and pasted fonts the same.

As the hours wore on into the night everyone fell asleep but Murphy. He lay on the floor in the relative silence of the living room wondering what a fairy looked like in real life. He sat up, decided to find out and placed his hand on the edge of the table slowly moving it in the direction he thought the little bed was. When he found the stack of pillow cases he lifted his hand and moved it even more slowly across the space of the fabric until the soft tips of his fingers met the warmth of the fairy’s legs. Her skin seemed electric to his.
He then moved his index finger up the length of her leg. That’s when he felt two tiny arms wrap around his finger. Her soft snores told him that she was still asleep but he couldn’t see that in her slumber she had taken hold of his finger like a beloved pillow.
Not knowing how fragile she might be, he held himself very still and hoped no one would wake up and catch him like this. It all seemed like a bad idea in retrospect. The more he thought about it and the tighter her little body clung to his the more Murphy realized this was not like petting a sleeping dog or any other animal for that matter. This was a tiny person, a tiny girl, with boobs he could feel pressing into his skin. “Fuck,” he thought, “This was like sneaking up on any other girl and touching her legs without asking. I’m going to be the pervert that touched her in her sleep. I’m a creep. Shit, what do I do?” He thought of every expletive he could imagine which really didn’t help much.
A few moments past and Murphy was still trying to think of a plan when the fairy awoke. Startled by the strange hand she was cuddling, she let go and fell backwards onto the pillowcases.

Favorite thing I wrote, uh, yesterday:
“He was right where she had wanted him to be but like the dog that finally caught the mail truck she was scooped up into the wheel, pulverized and left in a puddle on the road.”

Yeah...this doesn't have anything to do with the quote. It's just amazing.

Could we hurry it up and get to the future already? I want to be ball busting aliens in this outfit, like, yesterday.

“It was this second moment, inside the new realm of possibility, that Larry imagined it was possible that he was in a garage with two monsters that could (and wanted to) tear his limbs from his body while miraculously keeping his head alive to watch as they drank his liquefied organs in some morbid cocktail party for two.”
